Privacy Policy

CarryOver, operated by RitzyLabs LLC ("CarryOver," "we," "us"), helps students understand how their college credits transfer. We take the privacy of your academic records seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

How we use your information

How we treat transcript data

Your transcript is yours. We treat academic records with FERPA-grade care even where FERPA does not legally bind us. We use your transcript only to produce the maps and analysis you asked for. We do not sell your transcript or personal academic data, and we do not share it with your schools or third parties for their own marketing.

You can delete your uploaded transcript, or erase all of your stored data, at any time from your account settings — or by emailing us. When we use anonymized or aggregated data to improve accuracy, it is stripped of information that identifies you.

Sharing and disclosure

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run CarryOver (such as hosting, database, email delivery, and payment processing), and only as needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies — the sign-in session cookies that keep you logged in and secure your account. We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required to use CarryOver. When you make a payment, our payment processor (Stripe) may set its own cookies strictly to process the transaction and prevent fraud; those are governed by Stripe's privacy policy. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time, though doing so will sign you out.

Data retention and security

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and we delete or anonymize it on request or when it's no longer needed. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices and rights

Children's privacy

CarryOver is intended for college and prospective transfer students. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above; material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
